This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification. To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.
Narrative: I want to go from Willamette Park to Molalla River State Park and back. We will go upriver for about 6.25 miles and then come back to our put in take out, Willamette Park. Why, I will be paddling and I have not done the section from Molalla River to the narrows. Colors should be awesome this time of year. Put in will not be at the docks, but on the beach at Willamette Park, 1100 12th St, West Linn, OR 97068. 9:00 am is paddle time, so be ready for safety talk at 9 am by the boats. Winds are looking pretty light, under 5 mph, but will be cooler. Dry suits are required. Could be some boat traffic this time of year, supposed to be a nice day. I do plan on crossing the river a few times, but we will do this crossing in a group. There are a lot of places to stop and look. We have some take out points, Canby Ferry, Molalla River State Park and the put in. Plan on lunch break at Molalla River State Park. This is a group paddle. If you are not a group paddle person, that is awesome, but this trip is probably not for you.
