This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification. To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip. Narrative: Yes, it's that time of year when our Inner Child gets to come out and play. We will meeting at Cook Park all dressed up in our Favorite Costume :) WOW and a prize for the Best Costume !!! We will climb in our magic pumpkins and ride them up into the Tualatin Wildlife Refuge. Enjoying the local wildlife and beautiful Fall colors. What will we see and Who scares Who ??? Bring a small dry bag with trick or treat goodies and we will do an adult trick or treat exchange. Hmmm paddling and chocolate :) We will paddle for about 6 miles and head back to the Cook Park launch. Bring a snack and water or hot beverage to enjoy while we explore this Hidden Gem. The Tualatin is a special place and it's right in our backyard. After the paddle you are welcome to come over to my house for a post paddle bowl of hot soup and whatever ghostly snacks you might like to share.
