This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification. To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip. Narrative: Join Patti Swanson, Amanda House and me, this Friday, for some practice in wind and rain. Water temps are low to mid-50's, and the air temps will be about the same, so drysuits will be required. Gauge height should be about 57. We'll meet at 10 a.m. at Willamette Park in West Linn to be on the water by 10:30, when we'll head upriver toward the Narrows. We intend to play around the rocks a bit, so bring your helmet along. The wind looks to be 12 or 13 mph, so bring a towline if you have one, as well. Please make sure you're comfortable being in these conditions. If the forecast changes dramatically, we'll decide whether we need to change our plans.
