  • Active Club Members, including lifetime and kayak professional. Provisional acceptance pending approval of the organizer.

Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.

Narrative: Join Steve Blackwood and Bob Freshman for Steve's second mentored paddle. We will put in at the Sauvie Island Boat Ramp and paddle down Multnomah Channel to where it intersects the Willamette River. This spot is a nice place to take a break and enjoy the change from a residential river to a working river. We then will turn to paddle down the Willamette river to Kelley Point and have lunch at the park. We will be able to view the Columbia River from our lunch spot. After lunch we will return to the Sauvie Island Boat Ramp. There are restrooms at the Boat Ramp and at Kelley Point Park. Parking is free at the Boat Ramp.
