Registration

  • Active club members, including kayaking professional and lifetime. Provisional acceptance, pending approval by the trip organizer

Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.Narrative: Do you have a shaky roll and are looking to improve? You should already have a basic understanding of rolling and have practiced before. It doesn't have to be pretty, but looking for folks that have attempted rolling before. We will explore concepts from the modern sweep / screw roll which uses a Euro Blade. Some of what we will explore will include: diving blade vs shedding resistance, push & pull leg power, spine & hip movement, linked core to boat rotation and more. While there are many styles of rolls this one will allow for an effortless roll in a variety of conditions including current, surf, white water, etc. Depending on progress we will work on linking strokes to this roll. Please contact me if you have any questions.
