Registration

  • Active club members, including kayaking professional and lifetime. Provisional acceptance, pending approval by the trip organizer

Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet-exit certification.  Spray skirt usage is required for this class.

To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.

Please join the four of us for an up close and personal tutorial session. This class will focus on refinement of the forward stroke so the paddler can find power and efficiency.  This is not a "beginner's" class.

We wish to offer this type of session to those who have "kayaking events" planned for the latter part of summer, or to anyone who wishes to improve their paddling experiences with increased enjoyment and efficiency.

We'll offer detailed information and personal coaching to enhance a paddler's techniques for " strokes and maneuvers ". Our goal is to limit our instructor: participant ratio to 3:1. We'll emphasize the Forward Stroke, Sweep Stroke, Bow Rudder, Sculling Draw, Draw to the Hip, ....and more Forward Stroke coaching!  ;-)

We are all perpetually trying to improve our forward stroke techniques ...the process never ceases!

BTW...the four of us are ACA certified Instructors. ;-)
