Narrative: Join me for a Mother’s Day tour from Scappoose Bay to Warrior Point at the northern-most tip of Sauvie Island. We’ll head out of Scappoose Bay from the marina where the Next Adventure Paddling Center is located to Multnomah Channel and follow that to where it meets the Columbia River at Warrior Point. There’s a nice sandy beach facing the Columbia River just past the point where we’ll land to eat lunch and take in the scenery. After an unhurried lunch we’ll make our way back to the launch site with against a moderate current. Total round trip distance is about 7.5 miles. Weather forecast as of 5/5 calls for sunny skies and light winds. Estimated return to the launch point is no later than 2:30 PM. There is a $3 parking fee.
