Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.
Narrative:
Join us on Friday March 15th for a Ridgefield/Columbia River paddle to Warrior rock light house and the eastern side of Sauvie Island. We will launch from Ridgefield, WA and make our way down Lake River to the Columbia, crossing over to Warrior rock lighthouse on Sauvie Island. We can explore a bit making our way upriver eventually crossing back to Bachelor Island where there are a number of sandy beaches. (Lunch & break options are available on both sides of the river). Then head back downstream along Bachelor Island and back up Lake River to Ridgefield. Depending on the day and conditions we may alternatively choose to explore downriver towards St. Helens. The overall distance is about 7-9 miles depending how far we feel like journeying. *please note that we are planning to park and launch at the Port Of Ridgefield Boat Launch which can charge a day use fee of $8 but includes maintained heated facilities.
