This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification. To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment. If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip. Narrative: One of the last old growth spruce swamps, a ship wreck, a floating-home gill-net fisherman community. Rich in history and wildlife, this paddle offers a perfect representation of what the lower Columbia is all about! We will meet at the Knappa Dock (https://goo.gl/maps/o6bwKFxeTsD2) help each other get our boats down the embankment, and paddle up the slough with the tide exploring the Grizzly Slough along the way. Turning around when the tide turns for a round trip distance of roughly 6-7 Miles depending on side explorations.
