Registration is closed

This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification.  To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group.  Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.  If the measured water temperature is different enough from that listed below to warrant a change in required immersion protection, the Organizer will contact all participants and the Trips Board member with the update at least a day before the trip.

Narrative: We will launch from Steamboat Landing on the Columbia River near Washougal, WA. There are rest rooms, and a dock connected to shore by a sloping walkway. The plan is to paddle upstream on the Columbia to the east end of Reed Island via the channel between the island and the Washington shore. Lunch somewhere on the upstream end of the island, then around the island and back to Steamboat Landing via the main channel of the Columbia River. This is about an eight mile trip and should take about 4 hours or so.
Bring your full winter paddling kit, including extra clothes, towline if you have one, and chocolate.
