It will be the day after Oregon's 160th birthday. What better way to celebrate Oregon's bounty than on the iconic river of the northwest? We'll launch from M Gleason Boat Ramp on Marine Dr in Portland and paddle upstream passing the airport on our way to Gov't Island where we'll take out for lunch and respite. On our way back we'll have the current providing some assist. Total distance for the day will be approximately 8 miles. Weather is unpredictable, so our plan is to launch rain or shine. Only high winds and/or thunderstorms will keep us off the water. Parking is $5. Restrooms are available.
