Lopez Island - Level 1 - Happy Hour Paddle to Lopez Village from Odlin

  • September 16, 2018
  • 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Odlin County Park beach

Wet Exit Certification will be required if you intend to wear a spray skirt. Registration for every trip is always conditional upon final approval by the TO. The TO may communicate with you to assess whether your skills & equipment are appropriate for the conditions. Signups will be done at the event.
Let’s make this easy and fun...kayak from the beach at Odlin campground to Lopez Village and back...a total distance of 7 miles. We’ll arrive in time for the Lopez Islander’s Happy Hour (3:30-5:30) and/or Early Bird dinner (4-6) though you’re not at all obligated to partake. (In fact, you won’t be allowed to have any alcohol if you plan to paddle with us.). They have tables overlooking Fisherman Bay. There are Happy Hour special small plates or a $20 three-course Early Bird dinner as part of the Savor the San Juans event. The staff assured me that we’d fit right in, even wearing drysuits. If you don’t want to eat there, feel free to wander the village and do your own thing until it’s time to jump back in our boats and head back to camp at 6pm. Please bring a headlamp just in case. Feel free to drive over and meet us at the Islander for Happy Hour if you wish.
