As with most trips at Events, signups will be at the Event.
Narrative: Sign-up at the Event. Break camp (or leave your hotel room) and be on the road by 10:30 a.m. We’ll drive north, arriving at Beaver Creek (at Brian Booth State Park near Newport) about 11:30 for lunch and unloading. We’ll launch at 12:30 p.m., for a peaceful six-mile round-trip meander through twists and turns as we head east to where the creek narrows. The trip also includes a short paddle heading west from the launch to the beach! We should be off the water around 4:30 p.m. We’ll launch from the boat ramp on the east side, but flush toilets and a path to the beach are on the west side. Use your car if you want to access that bathroom; don’t even think about trying to cross the highway on foot on a weekend day.
