This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification (except for level 1 trips when the paddler is not using a spray skirt). To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.
Narrative: The longest day of the year is nigh. Come join me for an early morning paddle around Ross Island, before the day heats up. SUPS invited too. I was going to suggest a sunrise paddle but really, how many of you want to meet me at 0500? So let’s say meet at Willamette Park at 7:00, launch at 7:30, and be back at the dock before we have to plug the meters at 9. We’ll just loop around Ross Island, enjoying the quiet of the morning. And then, for those who can, come up to my house, (5 mins away) for coffee and strawberry shortcake.
