This trip is limited to members with a wet exit certification (except for level 1 trips when the paddler is not using a spray skirt). To successfully register you will need to sign into your OOPS member account, and your account will need to be a member of the "Wet Exit Certified" group. Your acceptance is conditional on approval by the Organizer, who may contact you with questions about your skills and equipment.
Full Name: Alan and Marlene Fisher Activity Title: Strokes and Maneuvers Workshop Date of Activity: 5/24/2018 Narrative: We will meet at the Vancouver Lake Park at 0945, share some preliminary discussions about proper body posture and stroke mechanics, then proceed to the practice on the water. We'll focus on the usual strokes, but also spend time practicing the Bow Rudder, Stern Rudder, Hanging Draw and Sculling Draw. After a brief lunch we'll practice our skills further, playing on the water games. There is a Park entry fee of $3.00....Always fun to practice and continuously improve one's paddling efficiency as well as maneuverability .
