Narrative: Join Mel Wishan (gear doc) as he plunges into cyberspace with all his digital helpers and learn how to use technology to paddle more safely, be more relaxed and navigate with ease. The class will start out with a dynamic presentation of Piloting and Dead Reckoning which will be the foundation for the segue into the use of GPS Receivers, VHF radios and digital applications that facilitate the acquiring of essential data; weather, tides, currents, wind and the ability to navigate in real time, always knowing where you are, how fast you are moving, in what direction and your eta. Whether you are on the Columbia, at the coast or on a beautiful tranquil lake, use technology to paddle with ease and simply enjoy more. This class will be held at Carson Wealth Management in the Lincoln Center,  Bldg. 5, Suite 340,  just off the 217 and Greenburg Rd.
