Narrative: Join Shawn Altman and me for a wild day of kayaking in current at the Willamette Narrows. The gauge should be around 57', a healthy flow for fun to be had. We'll start off by heading south a whopping 200 ft to practice some ferrying around the mouth of the Tualatin River. Next, we'll continue south paddling into The Narrows, a fantastic place to practice maneuverability and boat control in current. After reaching the southern end of The Narrows, we'll eat a fantastic lunch (bring your own lunch) before playing on the return journey back to Willamette Park. Also, the weather should be just dandy on Sunday which is great for paddling. We do plan on doing some instruction in current, so please be comfortable in mild current if you plan on signing up. We are also going to keep the group size smaller than normal, so we aren't too crowded. This should be an awesome trip with two great leaders, so come have some fun with us.
