  • Active club members, including kayaking professional & lifetime. Provisional acceptance, pending approval by the Trip Organizer.

This trip is limited to OOPS members who are WEC.  Registration will occur at the DP Event HQ campsite, #290.

Narrative: Ride the ebb through Deception Pass in the dark.

Participants need a dependable roll.

Helmet, towline, spare paddle required. Floatation bags and vhf radio highly recommended. Waterproof headlamp required. Two glow sticks -- 1 yellow and 1 blue -- and a means of securely attaching a chem-light to both your helmet and the bow of your kayak required. (Buy the chem lights where you like. I know they are available at Sportsman's Warehouse.)

We will need to set up a shuttle for this trip. We'll drop boats and gear off at Cornet Bay at 2000, then drive to Bowman Bay to leave cars. One of us will then take rest of us back to Cornet Bay to put in.

Sunset: 2030
End of civil twilight: 2100

Sign up for this trip will occur at the event. Preference to folks leading trips during this event weekend.
