Narrative: Join me for a pleasant paddle up the Willamette River. We will leave from Willamette Park in West Linn and paddle south along the west side of the river and pass through the Narrows to a bend in the river called Fish Eddy. We will be paddling against a mild current of less than 2 knots. We will have several choices for a takeouts along the way. On our return will stay to the east side of the river and explore the Narrows from the other side. Total distance will be 6-8 miles depending on conditions. This is a very pretty section of the Willamette River where we can explore the small islands in the Narrows. We can also practice our strokes and maneuvers if so inclined.
