Activity Title: Ross Island Circumnavigation Date of Activity: 8/25/2020 Narrative: Join me for a pleasant paddle around Ross Island and beyond next Tuesday. We'll launch from Sellwood Park on the Willamette and paddle upstream to Tom McCall Waterfront Park on the west side of the river. From there we will cross back over to the east side and paddle downriver past a floating submarine before moving into the smaller channel on Ross Island's east side. Along the way we can venture into the island's interior bay looking for eagle's nests. From there we'll make our way back to the launch passing some floating homes along the way. Total distance will be 7-8 miles with opportunity for plenty of takeouts along the way.
