We’ll arrive in time for the Lopez Islander’s Happy Hour (3:30-5:30) and/or Early Bird dinner (4-6) though you’re not at all obligated to partake. (In fact, you won’t be allowed to have any alcohol if you plan to paddle with us.). They have tables overlooking Fisherman Bay. There are Happy Hour special small plates or a $20 three-course Early Bird dinner as part of the Savor the San Juans event. The staff assured me that we’d fit right in, even wearing drysuits. If you don’t want to eat there, feel free to wander the village and do your own thing until it’s time to jump back in our boats and head back to camp at 6pm. Please bring a headlamp just in case. Feel free to drive over and meet us at the Islander for Happy Hour if you wish.
